A man has been killed in a workplace accident in Tipperary this afternoon.

The incident happened when the man, who is believed to be aged in his 30s, was working underneath a lorry in the forecourt of a filling station in Cashel when it came down on top of him.

Gardaí are at the scene of the accident which happened shortly before 2pm this afternoon.

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been informed.
