A Dublin man who threw a small dog at gardaí while they searched for a stolen post bag in his garden in January 2014 has been jailed for six years.
Daniel Ennis of Croftwood Park in Ballyfermot also admitted threatening them with a shovel and telling a female officer he would make sure she was dead.
The sentence of the 20-year-old includes four years in jail for firing shots at a house where a woman was sleeping during a separate incident a year later.
