A man in his 30s has died following a two car collision in Galway.

It happened at around 8.30pm this evening on the Kilconnell Rd at Nutfield Cross outside Ballinasloe.

The man was a passenger in the car - the female driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The people in the second car are being treated for their injuries at Portiuncula Hospital .

The road has been closed off until tomorrow morning
