Woman arrested over discovery of man's body in south Dublin

A woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí in Dundrum are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body at a house in Marley Court South, Rathfarnham.

The woman is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Blackrock garda station.

The remains of the man were found at the bottom of the stairs in the house. It is believed he had a stab wound in his back.

A post mortem examination on the man's body is expected to be completed this afternoon.

His father has lived there for many years but neighbours say he only returned to the area recently.
