A man is due before the special criminal court this evening charged in connection with dissident republican activity in Dublin.

The 30-year-old was detained yesterday afternoon along with a 25-year-old man.

They were both questioned under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Irishtown Garda Station.

The 25-year-old was later released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

The second man will appear before the Special Criminal Court at 7.30pm today.
