Man accused of Elaine O'Hara murder remanded in custody until January

A Dublin man has been remanded in custody until after Christmas charged in connection with the murder of Elaine O'Hara.

Graham Dwyer (41) appeared via videolink at Cloverhill District Court this morning. He spoke only to confirm his name and that he could see his solicitor in the courtroom.

Dwyer of Kerrymount Close, Foxrock in Dublin is accused of murdering the childcare worker in August 2012.

The father-of-two was arrested in October over a year after Elaine O'Hara went missing, and one month after her remains were discovered by a dog walker at Killakee Mountain.

The court heard that the book of evidence in the case is quite large. This is due to be served will be served on January 15th next year.

Mr. Dwyer was remanded in custody to appear again via videolink at Cloverhill District Court on that date.

Meanwhile a Supreme Court appeal against a High Court decision to refuse him bail will be heard tomorrow.
