A man in his early 20s has died in a single vehicle crash in County Offaly.

He was fatally injured when his jeep veered off the road at Clonlee near Kinnity at about 2.30am today.

He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

His body has been removed to Tullamore Regional Hospital where a post-mortem will take place.

The road is currently closed to allow Garda Forensic Collision investigators will examine the scene.
