A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Dean Johnson who was gunned down in a gangland-style killing in south Dublin last August.
He was shot several times outside a house on Harelawn Green in Clondalkin, which is just a short distance from his home.
Johnson (21) was known to gardai, but he was regarded as a low-level operator in the drug trade and not a major gangland figure.
Detectives investigating his murder arrested a man (24) in west Dublin this morning and he is being questioned at Lucan garda station.
He is being questioned under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Five people have so far been arrested in connection with his killing but no-one has been charged.
