A man, who was arrested in connection with an operation targeting stolen cars, has been released without charge.

The 26-year-old was detained in Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow, yesterday evening and taken to Dun Laoghaire Garda station.

A van which was stolen in Blackrock in Dublin on Tuesday January 6th was recovered at the scene.

The man has been released from garda custody, and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
