A man has been arrested after some €730,000 of herbal cannabis was seized.
The Serious Crime Task Force and Revenue’s Customs Service discovered the cannabis at Dublin Port last Friday June 30th.
It was part of ongoing intelligence led joint investigations targeting organised criminal activity being conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

The cannabis was discovered concealed within the farm machinery.
Follow-up searches were subsequently conducted in the Moneygall area of Tipperary and gardaí arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of drug trafficking.
He is currently detained at Nenagh garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
