A man has been arrested after a bank raid in Stillorgan in Dublin.
Gardai say three armed raiders robbed cash from a Bank of Ireland branch in the area around 11am.
A number of customers were in the bank at the time but no shots were fired and nobody was injured.
The gang escaped in a car which was later found burnt out nearby. Gardai then pursued two of the raiders who tried to escape on a motorbike.
One arrest was made and that man is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act at Irishtown garda station.
Investigating officers have been speaking to staff and customers who witnessed the raid. The branch remains sealed off this afternoon.
A firearm and an amount of money have been recovered.
