A man appeared before court in Galway last night, charged with murdering his brother.

Declan Ó Cualain (40) with an address at Cuileán, An Cheathrú Rua, Co Galway, was charged with the murder of Adrian Folan (41).

Mr. Folan's body was found in a quarry in Liscannor, Co. Clare on Monday.

Declan Ó Cualain was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on Friday morning.

Yesterday the Folan family released a statement appealing for privacy.
