An elderly man has died in a housefire in Dublin.

The blaze broke out shortly after 7.30pm yesterday evening, on Monaloe Crescent in Cabinteely.

An 85-year-old man died in the fire, while a second man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

Gardaí say an investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
