A 36-year-old man has died after a car crash in Co Down.

The two-car collision happened at the Magheraknock Road in Ballynahinch at around 7.30pm last night.

A 32-year-old man remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition, while a five-year-old girl was also injured in the crash.

The road will remain closed for most of the day.

The PSNI are investigating, and are looking for anyone who saw the Vauxhall Vectra and Ford Focus cars before the collision to contact them.
