Love/Hate actor Leroy Harris has been ordered to carry out 150 hours of community service to avoid a jail term for drug dealing.

Harris (20) was caught with some cannabis in north inner-city Dublin in October 2013.

He shot to fame after appearing as 'Glen' in the infamous cat-killing scene in the hit gangland crime show.

On October 14th 2013, the young actor was caught with two packets of cannabis at Sheriff Street in the north inner-city.

He was searched by gardai after being spotted putting something down his trousers and admitted having the drugs for sale or supply.

Previously, the court heard he had an otherwise clean criminal record and was very lucky to secure a role in a prominent RTÉ drama - something that could open up doors for his acting career.

He appeared in court today wearing a navy tracksuit and was ordered to carry out 150 hours of community service in lieu of a six month prison sentence.
