Last night's €6,197,310 Lotto jackpot was won in Co Louth, the National Lottery has confirmed.

The winning ticket was sold at at Tesco Extra on Donore Road in Drogheda.

The lucky numbers were 1, 7, 9, 18, 22, 33 and the bonus number was 17.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: "So far this year, half of our Lotto jackpot wins have come from the ‘wee county’.

"Louth has always done well when it comes to Lotto wins. A recent review conducted by the National Lottery shows Louth is the luckiest county.”

Anyone who bought a ticket in the Tesco Extra in Drogheda is now being urged to check their tickets.

The winner is being advised to sign the back of their ticket, keep it safe and contact the National Lottery's prize claim team.
