Two adults and five children have been rescued from a 40-foot cruiser which had a problem with its anchor in Lough Derg this afternoon.
The local lifeboat was notified at around midday that the vessel's anchor had fallen off the bow and was reportedly dragging.
A passing yacht offered assistance and remained on scene until the Lough Derg lifeboat arrived.
