A Larry Goodman linked company, based in Luxembourg made a profit of €52.6m in 2013 and paid just 0.4 percent tax on these profits, according to reports in the Irish Times.
The company, Parlesse Investments began operations in 2010 and had accumulated profits of €279m at the end of 2013. It paid a dividend of €24.3m to its owner, a Malta-based company called Galway Ltd, in 2013.
The Luxembourg company has shares in and loans out to a range of Mr Goodman’s businesses including his ABP food group, which employs more than 2,000 people in Ireland, principally in the meat processing business.
The majority of Mr Goodman’s companies are either privately-owned and therefore do not require to publish their accounts or are based offshore, mostly in Germany.
