At this time of year, just before the Geneva Motor Show, manufacturers around the globe love teasing motor journalists and car fans alike with sneaky peeks of their up and coming concepts and all-new models. ŠKODA have been having fun over the last two weeks by slowly releasing more and more images of the soon-to-be new Superb. This morning the head-office of ŠKODA has just released more images of the new Superb, they’ve also given us a date as to when this model will be world premiered – 17 February.
This morning’s images show some of the external design details from the soon-to-be new Superb. ŠKODA describes the geometry, surfaces, lines and shapes as “virtually perfect”. They say that when they were developing the new model the motto for the project was “a fine finish right down to the smallest detail”; their aim was to make this new model more “precise, sophisticated and striking as never before”.
The photo below shows some of the new design elements to the Superb's lights. It indeed shows some precise cuts and the manufacturer used geometrical triangular shapes which they say is modelled after the Bohemian tradition of glass art.
The new Superb will be premiered in Prague. Since 2001 more than 700,000 Superb cars have been delivered which ŠKODA says makes it one of the “most popular vehicles of the automotive mid-size car class.
