style="font-weight: bold;">Carolyn Cassady, lover of Jack Kerouac and wife to his close friend Neal Cassady says Kerouac told her he would style="font-weight: bold;">drink himself to death.

Speaking to Orla Barry on The Green Room, Carolyn said Kerouac made the statement following Neal Cassady’s death from drug use.

The legendary Beat writer’s  best selling novel On The Road has been adapted to screen by Walter Salles with a cast including  Kristen Stewart, Sam Reilly and Kirsten Dunst.

Carolyn Cassady tells Orla she loved both Jack and Neal but for different reasons.“I had two husbands at the same time.  I loved them both equally but in different ways”.

Her intimate relationship with the two icons of the beat generation was not public knowledge at the time.
