Three students from Pobscoil Inbhear Sceine in Kenmare have won this year's EU Model Council debating competition in Dublin Castle.
Competing for Bulgaria against 27 other schools around the country, each representing an EU member State, they successfully argued that the European Union should strive to reach 35 per cent of its energy output from renewable sources.
They won computer tablets and a trip to the European Parliament in Strasbourg France.
