Justin Bieber is being investigated in connection with an alleged attempted robbery that happened on Monday in Los Angeles.

A spokeswoman for Los Angeles Police Department told Sky News the alleged incident took place at around 10pm on Monday night, and was reported to police on Tuesday.

Bieber, 20, reportedly tried to take a woman’s phone in San Fernando Valley when she attempted take a photo of him and his friends in a park.

The woman said she spotted Bieber and his entourage playing mini golf in Sherman Oaks Castle Park.

She took her phone out and when Bieber noticed she was about to take photos he grabbed it off her.

The woman says she began wrestling with Bieber, trying to get her phone back. 

Officers are going to interview the woman who made the complaint, and then may question the singer later, the spokeswoman said.

It is reported that he has not been arrested at this time.
