A jury in the trial of a homeless man accused of killing another man by punching him in front of an oncoming Dublin bus has begun its deliberations.

Edward Connors denies throwing a punch that caused Eoghan Dudley to fall into the path of the bus in December 2012.

Earlier in this trial, one witness said she covered her face because she could see what was going to happen.

Eoghan Dudley died after falling in front of a Dublin bus at the corner of Nassau St and Dawson St.

The 28-year-old's head was crushed under the wheels of the 145.

Edward Connors is alleged to have punched Mr. Dudley causing him to fall under the double-decker bus.

He denies the charge and claims he was trying to grab him after he fell off the footpath.

A total of seven eye witnesses claim they saw the accused throw the punch.

The jurors were sent out to begin their deliberations just after 10.30 this morning and they'll have to consider what those witnesses had to say.

They've also been given access to extensive CCTV footage showing the lead up and the moment of Mr. Dudley's death.
