Newstalk 106-108fm is Ireland’s only independent talk radio station with over 400,000 listeners across the country every day. We have a vacancy for a Graphic Designer to work in a fast paced and exciting environment. Radio is ever-changing and always moving so the relevant person should relish a challenge, be a team player and most of all be passionate about design.
We are looking an enthusiastic, hardworking designer who has proven they are able to run with projects from creation to final artwork. Candidates should also be able to prove they have a high level of speed and accuracy while working to tight deadlines. In this quick paced environment, it is crucial the successful candidate is highly organised and passionate about what they do.
A creative thinker goes without saying, but this really is one of the most important aspects of this role, with constant brainstorming sessions and new idea generation. A passion for emerging digital platforms and pushing the boundaries in design is an advantage.
Disciplines required:
Extensive experience of Adobe Creative Suite: PDF creation and troubleshooting, CS4, particularly Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and knowledge of digital artwork processes.
Graphic Designer:
Newstalk brand custodian: represent the station and work within established brand guidelines.
Your duties include, but are not limited to:
• Design station & show adverts for print and outdoor use (knowledge of print press required)
• Design of station branding (vehicles, merchandise, interiors, web graphics, etc)
• Development of all sales & promotional collateral
• Design of station internal brands – shows, on air features, promotions, etc
• Web experience necessary
• Liaising with On-Air Programming and Sponsorship teams to make sure web is being utilised to its best potential and implementing required changes as necessary
• Design of presentations for the station – board presentations, S&P and sales pitches, ensuring the product and message
