We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Events and Marketing Executive to join our team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Events and Marketing Executive will be instrumental in the activations for Newstalk around the country.  Working closely with the Events Manager to plan, organise and implement the activations for the station, notably outdoor broadcasts, station events, client events and partnerships.

A strong understanding of digital media and a clear vision for how our communications can be enhanced through the use of digital media is essential.

Specific responsibilities:

• Working with the Marketing Manager and Head of Events across implementation of all Newstalk event activity including outside broadcasts, media partnerships and  stations events.
• Liaising with sales, show teams, programing & technical departments co-ordinating all outside station activity.
• Composing media invites, contacting local press and community organisations to promote events. Establishing relationships with local press around the country.
• Travel nationwide when necessary to be on site at various events, managing branding placement, photographers, press and audience on the day.
• Post event analysis using surveymonkey.com & data gathered at events
• Work closely with the digital team relating to social media communication for specific campaigns/promotions.
• Ensure Newstalk utilise all advertising opportunities through sponsorships – liaise with designers for specific creative advertisement’s when applicable.
• Be the point of contact for booking campaigns on air for media partnerships.
• Assist Marketing Manager with all brand communications, coordinating the production of new marketing materials with designer, etc.
• Be a Newstalk brand custodian, ensure that the Newstalk brand is always well represented and properly communicated.

Qualifications:

• A recognised degree in events or marketing with at least 2 years working experience in a similar role.
• A can do attitude with the ability to multitask and work within a very fast paced environment.
• A passion for solving problems creatively, thinking big, starting small and moving fast.
• A strong work ethic and desire to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities but also strong people skills with proven track record of coordinating and interacting with colleagues.
• Brilliant attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines and deal effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously.
• The ability to work within a busy and dynamic work environment where communications priorities can change almost daily.
