A TD has denied intimidating workers installing water meters, after being arrested at a protest in Dublin this morning.

Joan Collins of United Left has pledged to continue her protest against what she calls "laws that should be broken", such as water charges.

She was arrested following a protest against the water charges in Dublin.

Deputy Collins says protests against the installation of meters have been good-natured and not angry towards workers.

The TD was among 15 people arrested by gardaí earlier today after the protest in Crumlin. Her party colleague, Councillor Pat Dunne, was also arrested.

Deputy Collins was held for questioning before being released. She spoke to Newstalk Lunchtime about how it came about.
