What Car? and Warranty Direct in the UK has again conducted research using 50,000 live policies on three to eight year old vehicles.

The top ten most reliable used cars according to the survey show that Japanese and South Korean manufacturers are coming out on top. Honda comes out as the most reliable manufacturer followed by Suzuki and Toyota. Other brands in the running include Chevrolet (joint 4th), Mazda (joint 4th), Ford (6th), Lexus (7th), Skoda (8th), Hyundai (joint 9th), Nissan (joint 9th) and Subaru (joint 9th).

According to the research, Porsche and Bentley were the most likely to break down. Below is how each manufacturer ranked from the research. The most reliable model was the Honda Jazz (pictured above).
