Last month, Lucinda Creighton TD - along with financial advisor Eddie Hobbs and independent Councillor John Leahy - unveiled plans for a new party. It was not launched with an official name, but was revealed with the slogan #RebootIreland.

More than a month later, is Reboot Ireland still buffering?

Speaking to Jonathan Healy on Newstalk Lunchtime today, the TD discussed what has been happening with her new party, and what progress has been made since the unveiling.

Having previously stated everybody in the country will be able to vote for a candidate from the new party, today Deputy Creighton said "speaking in terms of constituencies, we have pretty much the whole country covered in terms of people expressing interest".

On the subject of policy, she says they're asking potential candidates to think about four key priorities: building an economy for entrepreneurs; giving politics back to the people through radical political reform; reforming dramatically public service delivery; and creating a clear social objective for government.

She also discussed the legislation on fatal foetal abnormalities, saying "the legislation is more about posturing in the Dáil than anything that's actually achievable". She stressed "I don't believe an issue like abortion is a party political football. I believe it's something that every citizen in the State should make their own mind up about".
