An Irish man who had been missing in Sydney for five days has been found.

Donal (Donie) O'Sullivan - who is originally from Co Clare - is suffering from a broken arm and dehydration.

It is being reported that the 33-year-old was found in a stairwell at the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Bondi Junction just yards from where he was last seen.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment.

More than a hundred people were involved in searches for him.

A message on the 'Find Donal O'Sullivan' Facebook page confirmed "Donal has been found and is being looked after. We appreciate all your efforts and support! As soon as we know more you will too."
