Irish Water customers will start receiving bills from tomorrow.
1.5 million customers will receive bills as the first batch are rolled out over the next eight weeks.
Irish Water says they expect some challenges because of incorrect customer details.
Extra staff have been hired to deal with any queries. The number of customer service agents, based in Abtran in Cork, will peak to 750 as billing rolls out on a phased basis.
Irish Water says bills will be posted or e-mailed to every region of the country, every day over the eight week period.
Customers will receive a bill for water services, an information booklet to explain the charges, details on how they can verify the information on their bill is correct and details of how customers can get in touch with Irish Water.
Charges will be €40 (or less) for a single adult household, and €65 (or less) for a two adult household.
A total of 1.7 million bills will be issued, including to those who are not customers, such as those on group water schemes.
People with questions can call 1890-448-448, with lines open Monday to Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday 9am-5:30pm. Lines are closed on Sundays.
The utility says it will take eight weeks to issue all bills in the first cycle.
