Irish Rail says the line has re-opened between Raheny and Howth/Malahide following an earlier security alert.

It says full services are resuming, but there will be some delays.

Services were stopped for a time to facilitate a garda operation at Kilbarrack.

It came after a suspect bomb was found on a rail line.

Barry Kenny from Irish Rail says the matter is being dealt with by gardaí and the Defence Forces.
