Irish Rail is cracking down on fraudulent use of free travel passes. So far this year they have seized 550.
There are 782,500 passes in Ireland and they are issued by the Department of Social Protection.
400,000 people are allowed use those passes - such as spouses and partners.

Yesterday they held their fourth 'blitz' of 2014 as part of its crackdown. Newstalk joined the team of Revenue protection officers on duty.
