Gardai at Store Street in Dublin are investigating an assault in the north inner-city this morning.

A man aged in his 30s received head injuries in the attack which took place in Summerhill at 9am.

The victim was taken to the Mater Hospital, although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made in relation to the attack.
