Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a British man working for an energy company in Indonesia.

It's believed 61-year old Malcolm Primrose from Scotland was being driven to work yesterday when the vehicle he was in was ambushed by an armed group in the Aceh province.

He said to work for mining company Medco E and P and was in a car with his driver when confronted by the men.

The British Foreign Office says it's in touch with the local authorities.
