The Irish Farmer's Association has given a cautious welcome to the latest rural broadband announcement.

The Government is boost its rollout fund over the next two years, connecting over a thousand towns and villages to fibre broadband.

The new strategy aims to address all parts of Ireland that cannot access commercial high speed broadband services.
