Iarnród Éireann are investigating how a train crashed through a level crossing which was open to road traffic at the time.
The 7pm Ballybrophy to Limerick train crashed through safety barrier gates at the level-crossing at Castleconnell, Co Limerick, last Saturday night.
No one was injured in the crash.

Iarnród Éireann has described the crash as "very serious" and is carrying out a formal internal investigation.
