Human remains have been found on a beach in Co Donegal.

The discovery was made on Bunbeg Beach in Gaoth Dobhair earlier on Tuesday.

Gardaí and the Coast Guard are currently carrying out searches along the coastline.

A scene is currently in place and investigations are ongoing.
