Christmas FM is to begin broadcasting at the weekend, after being granted its temporary broadcasting licence.
The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has granted a 30-day temporary licence for the Christmas music station, from 28th November to 26th December.
It allows the all-Christmas radio station to broadcast from 7am to 2am, 7 days a week, during the month.
This year, Christmas FM is raising money for Make-A-Wish Ireland, and listeners will be encouraged to donate to the charity.
The radio station will be broadcasting in Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Cork, as well as in parts of a number of other counties around the country.
