Denis O'Brien and IBRC have won High Court orders against RTÉ stopping the businessman's confidential arrangements with the bank being published or broadcast.
The details of Mr Justice Donald Binchy's decision cannot be reported until his written judgment is redacted of sensitive information next week.
The orders stops any publication or broadcasting of Mr O'Brien's confidential banking arrangements with IBRC.
Anymore than that cannot be said at this point until his judgment is redacted of sensitive information.
The RTÉ business editor had planned a report for the Six-Oone News, focusing on governance at the State-owned bank.
It related to IBRC's handling of large debtors, one of whom was Mr O'Brien, and a letter the businessman sent in 2013 to the bank's special liquidator Kieran Wallace about the terms of his loan facilities.
While there was no allegation of wrongdoing against Mr O'Brien, he claimed revelations about his private banking would damage his commercial and banking interests.
He has secured the injunctions he was looking for, but the case still has to go to a full hearing.
