Revenue officers at Shannon Airport have seized €90,000 worth of herbal cannabis.

The 4.5kgs of drugs were discovered last Friday during routine operations.

The drugs were found concealed in a parcel labelled as 'clothing', which had come from Spain.

The illegal drugs were destined for an address in Co Carlow.

Officers say investigations are ongoing.
