The Grow with Aldi supplier development campaign is back for 2020. Newstalk has been following the activity and has interviewed many of the Irish producers competing to be a permanent fixture on the shelves of the 142 Aldi stores nationwide. Now it’s your chance to sample the competition!

From this Sunday May 31st, the Aldi Special Buy event kicks off nationwide giving 45 Irish artisan food and drink companies the chance to be stocked in all stores for a two-week period. The good news for customers is they will have the choice of over 75 new high-quality products to try, all made here in Ireland. Now, more than ever, it’s important to support homegrown business. John Curtin, Aldi Group Buying Director reflects that the opportunity for the producers is timely saying, ‘Small and medium sized Irish suppliers get the opportunity to have their product sold nationally, shoppers get to enjoy the best Irish-made products being created and Aldi gets to work with even more Irish suppliers. With everything that has happened worldwide over the past few months, we couldn’t think of a better time to be supporting Irish suppliers more.

Here are a few of the wonderful Irish products you will find instore from Sunday:
