Dublin City Council has fined Greyhound Recycling for breaching waste bye-laws.
In a document issued to city councillors, city chief executive Owen Keegan says the refuse and recycling company were issued with the fines because of late night collections.
Chief Executive Michael Buckley said prior to talks at the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) that he was not aware of the fines being issued.
But Dun Laoghaire TD Richard Boyd-Barrett says he finds that hard to believe.
Meanwhile no date has been set to resume negotiations between unions and management at Greyhound, after exploratory talks were adjourned last night.
Unions and management from the waste company met at the LRC in an attempt to bring the dispute over wage cuts to an end.
78 workers from the waste company have been on the picket line for the last 12 weeks.
