The High Court has made an order jailing a Grangegorman squatter for 14 days for failing to vacate the premises.
Mr Justice Paul Gilligan has found him in contempt of an order made last March directing the occupants to leave the squat so the properties can be sold by a receiver.
Mr Bedford today told the court the collective had found a potential buyer for the site and he asked for more time to lodge an appeal against the order to vacate.
The judge told him he can purge his contempt at any stage.
Two months ago, the High Court ordered the premises to be vacated so it could be sold by NAMA-appointed receivers.
The Grangegorman squat was home to around 30 people - but today the High Court heard only four residents remain.
Acting on a court order last March, NAMA appointed receivers moved to evict the residents so the site could be put up for sale.
Today they sought attachment and committal orders against the few squatters who refuse to vacate the property.
Lawyers for the receivers said they believe the remaining residents are taking the view that they will not move until gardaí are notified.
