The Garda Representative Association (GRA) has raised serious concerns about plans to close one of the country's biggest Garda stations.

Over one thousand staff, including up to 600 Gardaí, work at Harcourt Square Garda station which is due to close this month.

But the GRA says the rank and file still haven't been told where they're moving to.

The station houses a number of key national Garda units including the Criminal Assets Bureau.

Detective Michael Kilfeather says there's a critical lack of information about plans for the station's personnel:

"The staff don't know when we're going, where we're going to. You've got, I believe, about 1080 people working there.

"You've some serious investigations going on from there and we're just trying to work out is there a plan? What is it and where are we going to go?"
