The government will this week look again at the way people in Ireland are charged for water.
The cabinet is expected to agree a simplified version tomorrow which it is thought will see each household pay an average of under 200 euro each year.
Environment Minister Alan Kelly could then unveil the detailed plan on Wednesday.
