100 jobs have been announced in Dublin.

Glassdoor.ie, a website designed to help jobseekers run background checks on potential employers, is to open its first Irish office.

A site has yet to be chosen for the office, which will open early in the new year, but its app for the Irish market is being launched today.

The jobs will be spread over three years, with roughly 35 available over the next twelve months.

“We are excited to expand our global footprint by launching in Ireland to provide greater workplace transparency for Irish job seekers into local employers, and in turn helping employers recruit more effectively,” said Diarmuid Russell, Head of Glassdoor International.

Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, said that Galssdoor chose Ireland due to the talent available in the workforce.

“Talent is the number one reason why companies choose to come to Ireland. Glassdoor has a great understanding of this. This launch from Glassdoor forms part of their investment plan for Ireland."
