Gardaí and Interpol are assisting Spanish police in their investigation into the fatal shooting of a Dublin gangland figure in the south of Spain yesterday.
Gerard Kavanagh, 43, from Drimnagh in Dublin died after he was shot multiple times in a pub near Marbella.
Kavanagh had convictions for drug dealing,
Two suspects - believed to have been wearing balaclavas - are thought to have fled the scene in a BMW which was found burnt out a short time later. The investigating police are still trying to identify a motive for the killing.
