Gardai are investigating the death of a man in Limerick.

The 21-year old was pronounced dead at University Hospital Limerick this morning after he was found in a flat on Steamboat Quay.

Gardai suspect the man's death may be drugs related.

The man was with a group of others in the flat at the time and became unresponsive shortly before 6am.

A post mortem is due to take place at University Hospital Limerick.

Gardai at Henry Street are investigating.
