Gardai are investigating an attempted car-jacking in Dublin this morning.
The incident happened just before 3 o'clock at Basin Street -when three men who were travelling in a taxi from Tallaght-ordered the driver to get out of the car.
The taxi driver managed to take the keys from the ignition and run towards James Street where he alerted Gardai.

It's understood no one sustained any serious injuries.
Gardai recovered the car and investigations are continuing.
No arrests have been made.
