Gardai in Dublin say they have identified the man found injured and unconscious in Santry early yesterday morning.

The man (45) appeared to have burn injuries as well as other injuries on him.

He was brought to Beaumont Hospital yesterday after being discovered on Lorcan Avenue at around 5:40am.

Detectives had yesterday appealed for help in identifying him.

They are now appealing to anyone who was in the area between 5am and 5:40am - or who may have witnessed an incident - to come forward.
